GIC 2027 Regional Assessments

The road to GIC All-Star Weekend 2027 begins with our Regional Assessments!

GIC Cheer athletes from across the country will come together in their respective regions for an exciting assessment experience designed to help our coaching staff prepare for camp and build routines that showcase our athletes at their very best.

These assessments are not tryouts.

Every athlete who participates in a GIC Regional Assessment will be invited to attend GIC Cheer Camp. The purpose of the assessment is to allow our staff to evaluate each athlete's current skill level, strengths, experience, and abilities before camp begins.

By seeing our athletes in advance, our coaching team can begin developing:

• Appropriate stunt groups and athlete placements
• Tumbling and skills sections
• Routine formations and transitions
• Choreography suited to each team's abilities
• A productive camp schedule and teaching cadence
• Routines that challenge our athletes while allowing them to perform confidently and successfully

Our goal is simple: arrive at camp prepared.

Instead of spending the first portion of camp determining what our athletes can do, the GIC Cheer staff will already have an understanding of the talent coming into the gym. This allows us to maximize camp time, focus on building chemistry, clean skills, teach choreography, and create an unforgettable routine for GIC All-Star Weekend 2027.

Assessments will be held in each GIC region, giving athletes the opportunity to be evaluated alongside others from their area before coming together for the full GIC experience.
